HOAX Water Heated Blanket and Mattress Pad, Soft & Comfort Quilted Heated Jacquard with Wireless Remote Control and Timer Auto-Off
I mean WATER HEATED!
Say what now?
Yes until today I didn’t even know it was a thing.
I thought the Cozee Battery Powered Heated Blanket (as recommended by Oprah no less) was the best high end heated throw you could get. But I was wrong.
Let me explain the benefits of a water heated blanket.
All electric devices give off EMF radiation.
And as our lives become more and more filled with various gadgets and devices, there is a genuine concern that it might be damaging our bodies.
While most research has been inconclusive, there are some studies that have found a small link between EMF and cancer.
Although those studies are usually hotly disputed by mainstream science, I say, why take the risk.
When you have an opportunity to take a safer option, then you should take it.
Besides, electric devices can catch fire, cables can fray, and heat can be distributed unevenly.
A water heated electric blanket takes away all of those concerns.
Here’s how it works.
The water heating system circulates water through the blanket pad, and without the need for wires, it’s soft and comfortable.
Water is distributed evenly, which means heat is distributed evenly. A lot of electric blankets seem to struggle with that concept!
There’s no EMF of course, and no worries about any electric malfunctions that might cause fires.
This particular blanket has multiple layers of down alternative fibre wrapped around medical grade water tubes, all covered with a premium jacquard knitted fabric on top, and a super soft microfibre fabric at the bottom.
The controller is a touch screen, but best of all, it has a wireless remote device.
The remote controller has a memory function so you can simply set it to whatever the previous temperature was as the last shutdown.
Plus a 0-24h auto-shutdown setting.
You can also set it to “sleep” after an hour, at which point it will set the temperature to a pre-set temperature. Basically, when you go to bed, it will heat up for an hour, then drop down to a lower temperature so you don’t overheat while sleeping.
It has a chip that can control the temperature to an accuracy of 1 ℉.
And because it uses water, and is able to control the temperature so finely, it can save up to 30% more energy than traditional electric blankets.
The Safe Shield has 5 levels of protection: lacking water alarm, lacking water auto stop heating, machine overheating, anti-frozen protection, anti-scald water inlet grid.
The company has clearly gone out of their way to make the safest electric blanket you can get.
Using water as a heating method is far superior to a traditional electric blanket which just gets way too hot for me.
OK it takes about 30min for the blanket to really heat up and the heat to be evenly distributed but that’s why it comes with a remote.
I was a bit concerned that you would be able to feel the tubes, but no, nada. Really can’t feel it.
And the machine is silent as well! No low buzz or drone like you get from other devices.
I think the only advice I would give is to use bottled or purified water so you protect the device from the inside, it will last longer that way.
I know that the Sunbeam electric blanket is a popular choice, but if you are worried about safety, EMF radiation, electric cables fraying and catching file and cooking you like a roast turkey, then you need to get this water heated electric blanket, it really is the best high end electric blanket you can get this winter.
Is it safe?
Yes, it’s much safer than traditional electric blankets.
You don’t have to worry about cables getting damaged or wearing thin, or fire hazards, or even EMF radiation.
Can you feel the water tubes?
Not at all.
I was quite worried about that but you really can’t.
Does it make a noise?
And I have super sensitive ears.
How do I keep it clean?
The one thing about this water heated electric blanket is that it’s not washable, so you need to protect it in some way.
